Dorothy Morrison

Greetings to all.

Yesterday I got to spend time with someone I consider a mentor and friend, Dorothy Morrison.
She came to 13 Magickal Moons in Occaquan, Va (a place that belongs to some other friends and where my Coven Sister, Samantha, teaches). Dorothy is promoting her new book "Dancing the Goddess Incarnate" and taught one of the best classes I've ever participated in on sweeping energy. I spent some 1/1 time with her, and she signed a photo and book for me and blessed her very first ritual robe that she wore at her first degree initiation that I now I possess along with her first set of tarot cards. Dorothy donated these items to an online auction to raise money for Katrina, and I was fortunate to win the bids and support a cause to close to her heart.

Today, my husband and I are meeting with the couple that I'm handfasting in October. This is my very first handfasting, and I'm very excited and enjoying the thought and preparation process. I'm also very grateful for the support and participation by my consort.

I'm working on reorganizing my Book of Shadows into a handmade/written version as well a computerized printed version. Many of my rituals and spells are composed at the keyboard, other creative works are done by hand. I enjoy both processes.

It is Mother's Day. Since I'm Mommy only to my little dog, part of me feels left out on this day. But, as women and especially Witches we have the power to birth and mother many things. So, I focus on the many projects I've created and the ones still manifesting. And I can't help but be a little thankful for the freedom my spouse and I have as a childless couple and I'm glad for the choices I've made.
